Laptop LCD Screens

Whilst carrying my laptop to my car I suddenly slipped and it dropped onto the hard concrete floor, instantly cracking the screen.

As soon as I did it, I was devastated, because I use it for work, socialising, shopping, and hundreds of other things. All my personal files, folders and information are saved to it, too.

I also had a big report due in on the Friday and it was Monday. I needed it back with me and repaired by Thursday to stand a chance of getting it in on time. Four days to get it repaired seemed like enough; or so I thought.

Due to the time restrictions, I visited the local computer repair shop to try and get it fixed straight away. After inspecting it, they confirmed that a screen replacement may take over a week for the parts to arrive. Plus, the time to fix it would need to be added on. The prices they were quoting were very high, too.

I decided against this option as I needed it to be repaired as soon as possible.

I contacted the manufacturer to see if they could fix the problem any quicker. Unfortunately, it would also take a long time to get it repaired, and was even more expensive than the localcomputer repair shop.

After running out of ideas, I decided to look for a solution on the internet. I soon came across a company that could replace my laptop screen in a short space of time.

I phoned them to find out the details, and they offered to have a courier collect and return my laptop to either my home or workplace, and provide a free inspection and diagnosis service, which I accepted.

Whilst inspecting my computer, they noticed that it was running very slowly. I had been unhappy with this problem, as it takes me a long time to operate different programs at the same time. They offered to perform a tune-up and optimisation service which would take no extra time, so I agreed.

They collected my laptop on the Tuesday and I had it back again on the Thursday, running as fast as when I first got it, and with a beautiful new screen, too.

What are the changes in version 2009.3?

The Table component is added to .NET and WPF versions of our report generators.
This new component allows increasing speed of report building. It simplifies work with some controls. When using the Table, a user does not work with separate components placed in bands but with the structure of correlated cells. Size change, formatting, data filling all this can be easily done using the Table component.

Super ToolTips are added to all products
Super Tooltips provide much more information about controls. Now there is no need for you to guess where this or that control can be used. Detailed tips describe almost each button. Super ToolTips are available both in the designer and in the viewer. We believe this feature will be useful both for advanced users and for novices.

Ribbon report viewer is added to .NET version
The Ribbon UI in the report designer is used by our customers since the version 2008.2. But now we are glad to announce the Ribbon UI for the report viewer. New viewer is available both as a control and as a Tab in the Ribbon UI of the report designer.

Viewer.Fx performance in Web version
In version 2009.3 completely redesigned the Viewer.Fx component. As a result of our work it became in two times faster. It takes less memory. The animation works faster, pages are shown faster, reports are loaded quicker. Now showing 1000 pages in no longer a problem.

Also some errors of previous versions were corrected many new features were added. This made the products more robust.
